Beer Classes and Tasting

DC School of Beer is part of the Washington Wine Academy. We organize beer classes and beer tasting events in the Washington, DC area and vicinity. Our beer staff is selected from DC’s most knowledgeable beer gurus  with backgrounds in brewing, hospitality, Belgian styles, and more.

Our beer classes have included:

• "1-Hour" Beer School- an introduction for those who don’t know the difference between lagers and ales
• ABCs of Beer
• Ingredient Classes- learn about hops, malt, and yeast and taste beers driven by those ingredients
• Belgian series- Belgian Family Breweries/Abbey Brewing traditions, Lambic and Flanders Oud Brune/Red Ales, The Craft Beer Movement in Belgium, and others

Be a part of our first 1K Beer Walk on January 21st - 23rd, 2012. We will serve 50 craft and beer snacks indoors at The Crystal City Shops.
